# Move from Airtable to SIGNL

> Sync one Airtable base and table into SIGNL, or upload a CSV. What comes across, how to preview and undo it, and what you set up again.

Updated 2 October 2026.

## What comes across from Airtable

SIGNL reads the records in one Airtable base and table and maps them onto leads, calls, payments and notes.
You choose which of your fields feed which SIGNL fields, and a column set to Ignore this column is left out.
Custom fields you have made in SIGNL appear as targets too.
Every record is tagged airtable, and Airtable's own record ID is mapped as the external ID for you.
Fields are read by their field ID rather than their name, so renaming a field in Airtable does not break a saved mapping.

If you would rather not connect Airtable, export a CSV and upload it instead.

## Steps in SIGNL

1. Create a personal access token at airtable.com/create/tokens, then connect Airtable on the Integrations page with it.
2. Open Import and sync, choose New import, then Airtable.
3. If Airtable is not connected, the wizard says so and links you to Integrations.
4. Name the source, then enter the Base ID, which starts with app, and the table ID or name.
5. Add a view name if you want to limit the import to one view.
6. In Map, SIGNL suggests a mapping from your column names, and you change any of it.
7. Check the date order, time zone and currency, which start as month first, UTC and USD.
8. In Preview, SIGNL shows what would happen to up to 50 rows without writing anything.
9. Choose Start sync.

Running it again does not duplicate people SIGNL already has.
One source reads one base and table, so create a source for each table you want to bring.

## Undo a run

Open the source and choose Undo this import.
It deletes the leads, calls, payments and notes that run created, and keeps anything that already existed in SIGNL.
Payments recorded under Stripe, Whop or another processor are never deleted.

## What you set up again

Re-map any column the suggestion got wrong, and map your closer and outcome values in the panels that appear once those columns are mapped.
Add the custom fields you need in SIGNL before you map to them, so they show up in the list.

## What it does not bring

- A row with no email, phone, name or ID column cannot be recognised on a re-import, so map an ID column.
- An email that is not valid is flagged as a warning on that row.
- A CSV upload is limited to 25 MB.
