SMS and WhatsApp Terms
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Who sends the texts
SIGNL is software that businesses use to book calls and follow up with people who contact them. When you give a business your mobile number on a SIGNL booking page or form, that business sends you the text messages, using SIGNL to do it. The business, not SIGNL, decides what it sends within the limits below.
2. How you agree to messages
A business may send you marketing messages only if you have agreed. You can agree on a SIGNL booking page or form by ticking an unticked box, or answering Yes to a question, that names text messages or WhatsApp. You can also agree with the business directly in another way, for example on its own website; in that case the business has confirmed to SIGNL that it holds your agreement and is responsible for it. A pre-ticked box, or a box about something else, is never treated as agreement. Agreeing is never a condition of booking a call or buying anything.
When you give your mobile number to book a call, the business may text you about that booking, such as confirmations, reminders and changes. It will not send you marketing unless you agreed to marketing.
3. What the messages are
Booking messages: confirmations, reminders and changes about a call you booked.
Marketing messages: offers, updates and follow-up from the business, only if you agreed.
How often you hear from a business depends on your bookings and what you agreed to. SIGNL has safeguards that limit how many marketing messages a business can send in a day, and hold marketing messages outside daytime hours where you are. These are safeguards, not guarantees. The business remains responsible for its messages.
4. Stopping and getting help
Reply STOP to any text to stop all messages from that business, by text and WhatsApp. You can also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE or OPT OUT, or tell the business in any other way. You may receive one message confirming that you have opted out. To opt back in, reply START or agree again. Reply HELP for help, or contact the business that messaged you. For questions about SIGNL itself, email support@trysignl.app.
5. Cost and carriers
Message and data rates may apply, as charged by your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Your mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your agreement to receive texts is not shared with anyone else. The business that messages you holds your number and your agreement, and SIGNL processes them on that business's behalf. Texts are delivered through Twilio, either on the business's own account or on an account SIGNL operates for that business, and WhatsApp messages through WhatsApp. See the business's privacy notice and SIGNL's Privacy Policy for how data is used and kept.
7. Records
We keep a record of when and where you agreed and a protected copy of your IP address. If you opt out, we keep a record of that opt-out so that it continues to be honoured.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Read them together with SIGNL's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
