What it does

UK direct debit payments from your GoCardless account land in the ledger: collected payments, refunds and chargebacks, checked against your webhook endpoint secret. SIGNL reads each payment from GoCardless with your read-only access token, so the buyer's email comes with it. GoCardless fees are not recorded (they are taken on the payout). Built from GoCardless's reference and not yet checked against a real delivery.

Early use: Built from GoCardless's webhook and API reference and not yet checked against a real delivery.

What syncs

What it covers

4
  • Direct debit payments
  • Refunds and chargebacks
  • Buyer email from the customer
  • Ledger reconciliation

What it does not do

  • Built from GoCardless's webhook and API reference. It has not yet been checked against a real delivery.
  • GoCardless fees are not recorded: GoCardless takes them on the payout, not the payment.

Set it up

Connect in SIGNL

  1. Open Integrations, Payments, and copy the GoCardless webhook URL for this workspace.
  2. In the GoCardless dashboard, open Developers, Webhook endpoints, and create an endpoint at that URL. Copy the endpoint secret GoCardless shows and paste it on the GoCardless card.
  3. In Developers, create a read-only access token (it starts live_ or sandbox_) and paste it on the same card. SIGNL needs it because a GoCardless event carries no amount. There is no shared fallback for either value.
  4. Collect a test payment (in the GoCardless sandbox, or a small live debit) and check "Last event received" updates.
